Assistant surgeon required in order to start a Residency Program in Small Animal Surgery– Clinique vétérinaire Aquivet, Eysines (Bordeaux)- FRANCE
The clinique vétérinaire Aquivet is a multi-disciplinary referral practice opened in 2006. We are based in Eysines, in close proximity to the city of Bordeaux. We are opening a position for an assistant in small animal surgery in order to start a residency program in 2017.
We require an enthusiastic surgeon with an interest in both soft tissue, orthopedics and neurosurgery to complement our team. The surgical unit relies on two ECVS diplomates. The surgery team is supported by four others Diplomates (Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Dermatology), one French specialist in Ophthalmology and an ECVDI resident-in-training. Our specialists and residents are supported by strong teams of emergency vets working out of hours. The hospital is full equipped for radiology, ultrasonography, CT-scan, arthroscopy & coelioscopy, medical endoscopy, and rehabilitation therapy unit. Our facilites also include access to MRI.
Pre-requirements are the completion of a one-year rotating internship and one year surgical internship or an equivalent practical experience of 3 years. Appropriate knowledge of the French language is mandatory in order to interact with pet owners and colleagues. Sufficient knowledge of the english language is also required.
